Petr Cech, the renowned former goalkeeper of Chelsea and Arsenal, is embarking on a captivating new chapter in his athletic career. He has joined the Belfast Giants, an Ice Hockey team in the Elite League, on loan from Oxford City Stars. This move comes after Cech left his post as technical director at Chelsea in June 2022.

Since retiring from professional football in 2019, the 41-year-old has eagerly ventured into the world of Ice Hockey, making appearances for Guildford Phoenix and Chelmsford Chieftains. Cech, who plays as a netminder, recently displayed his exceptional skills with a remarkable 62 saves for Oxford against the Streatham Red Hawks in a thrilling NIHL Division 1 South encounter.

Currently occupying fifth place in the ongoing EIHL 2023/24 season, the Belfast Giants are bolstering their squad with the addition of Cech.
