Chelsea did it, again! New Brazilian in the town!

Chelsea appear to be on the verge of securing the services of another promising Brazilian talent, Gabriel Moscardo, as they lead the race to sign the Corinthians midfielder. The 18-year-old, who is valued at £26 million by his current club, has garnered attention from top clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal. However, it seems that Chelsea is the most likely destination for Moscardo, according to the Standard.

Chelsea had their £18 million bid for the midfielder turned down during the summer transfer window, but they are reportedly planning to make another attempt in January. However, Corinthians are said to be waiting until after their presidential elections on November 25 before selling the player.

Should the Blues manage to secure Moscardo’s signature, it will mark yet another addition to their pool of talented young players. Earlier this year, Chelsea signed Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama for £16 million. Despite being loaned out to Nottingham Forest, Santos has struggled for game time, prompting Chelsea to consider recalling him in January. Additionally, in July, the Blues signed 15-year-old winger Angelo Gabriel from Santos, and just a month later, they secured the services of Deivid Washington, another teenage Brazilian forward from the same club, for £17.2 million.

The latest signing of Moscardo would further reinforce Chelsea’s commitment to building a strong future squad, as manager Mauricio Pochettino has previously indicated.
