Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward Kylian Mbappe finds himself in an unusual situation as his manager, Luis Enrique, has criticized him despite his outstanding performance against Reims in Ligue 1.

I have nothing to say about the goals. But he can help the team more, in a different way,” said Enrique in a post-match interview.
“I’ll talk to him about it first… Kylian is one of the best in the world. But we need more. We want him to do more.”
Mbappe’s relationship with the club has been tense throughout the summer, with uncertainties surrounding his future leading to him being banished to play with the B-team at one point. Despite his links to Real Madrid, who are believed to be the frontrunners in securing his signature, Mbappe has expressed his desire to focus on playing football and avoid discussing his future.
“Have I come to terms with my summer? The most important thing is playing football, you (the media) do the rest well,” stated Mbappe after PSG’s win over Reims. “I don’t want to talk about it and add fuel to the fire. I think there are already too many rumors.”
Mbappe turned down a world record £257 million offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal over the summer, choosing to remain with PSG. He has since resolved matters with the club and made a successful return to the first team, scoring 13 goals in 10 Ligue 1 starts. However, questions regarding his future continue to linger.
Last week, Real Madrid released a statement denying rumors of any negotiations with Mbappe. The club firmly stated,
“Given the information recently issued and published by different media outlets, in which there is speculation about alleged negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappe and our club, Real Madrid CF would like to state that this information is completely false and that no such negotiations have taken place with a player who belongs to PSG.”
